A leading UK homebuilder, who fit the EziTrak® system to its machinery, has reason to be pleased following a recent theft on its premesis.

One of the company's new Manitou Telehandlers was stolen from a housing development site.

The Construction Director was alerted first thing Monday morning that the telehandler was missing. He simply dialed the machine for its location and discovered it was less than 15 kms away.

The police were alerted to the precise location and were able to be there in 15 minutes.

When they arrived, the police found the telehandler abandoned in a car park and locked up. It had sustained no damage but was tucked away out of sight next to rail sidings.

The telehandler was transported straight back to the housing development site and was back at work by 11 am.
