Barrier Security Products has released a new product that will prove a winner in its shock / impact absorbing range of products designed for car park, warehouse and logistics centres protection.
The new Shock Absorbing Guard Rail (SAGR) has the ability to shift sideways if hit at or near ground level.
If the impact is higher up, it can tilt up to 8 degrees at which point it locks up offering maximum protection, SAGRs are designed to be used anywhere vehicles are maneuvering at low speeds such as car parks, warehouses and factories.
The self centering design means the SAGRs can take repeated impacts without incurring permanent damage. They simply absorb the impact and return to their original position without damaging floors.
These unique characteristics are the result of a combination of clever engineering and the use of high tech composite materials.
SAGR posts are available in 140mm diameter in core drilled or surface mount models. The rails are 140mm in diameter and available in lengths of up to 6.0 metres.
Barrier Security Products Business Development Manager John Watts says the SAGR is a product complimenting the company's hugely successful existing shock absorbing bollards which have taken the warehouse market by storm.
"It’s hard to believe that anyone would use what are now old fashioned fixed barriers that are costly to repair and a OH&S risk when damaged,” he says.
