Manhattan Associates has announced the availability of Supply Chain Architected for Logistics Execution (SCALE) 2010, the latest version of its execution-focused supply chain platform.
According to Manhattan Associates, SCALE 2010 will enable companies to combine processes, data and workflows in order to improve supply chain operations. It is said to help deliver improved flow of goods, order accuracy and on time delivery through its inventory control and visibility features.
The new release reportedly has a new customisable desktop which features applications that are designed to perform simple tasks and display data taken from the SCALE system or any other SQL Server database.
SCALE 2010 also provides new functional areas to the data warehouse including: inbound; labour managements; location inventory; and wave.
The enhanced Value Added Services component can now direct products to where additional processing can take place. Companies across the region are also said to benefit from the ability to place different shipments for different addresses onto a single shipping pallet.
In addition, Manhattan Associates has also announced wholesaler Fashion Biz as the first Australian company to implement SCALE 2010.
Fashion Biz has reportedly worked with Manhattan Associates for the past three years, having implemented the software to replace its previous paper based system.
Having just completed the implementation of Manhattan SCALE 2010 in its Melbourne distribution centre, Fashion Biz plans to roll out the solution at its second Australian DC in Sydney in a few months.
