Three houses and a hotel in Mount Morgan, Central Queensland were evacuated last night when a truck carrying gas cylinders overturned.
The Mining Equipment Maintenance truck was travelling along Central Street when it toppled over. A Queensland Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said two gas cylinders fell off the vehicle and rolled onto the road when the truck tipped at around 9:40pm.
Liquid petroleum gas was also on board the truck, but no cylinders rolled onto the road, the spokeswoman said.
Queensland Fire and Rescue Service set up an exclusion zone and stayed at the scene until around 2am today, according to Rockhampton’s Morning Bulletin.
No injuries were reported.
