Powerlift Nissan today announced that it will be selling 226 used forklifts in an unreserved online auction, conducted by GraysOnline.
The nation-wide ‘surplus to ongoing requirement’ sale will commence at 3pm EST on Thursday 17th September 2009 and end at 3pm EST on Wednesday 23rd September 2009.
“The online auctioning of forklifts is increasingly becoming an alternative sales channel for major suppliers in Australia," says Cameron Poolman, CEO, GraysOnline.
"We’ve been auctioning forklifts online since 2003, and have sold well over a thousand forklifts since then. We have a leading track record in this area.”
“The convenience and cost effectiveness of the GraysOnline auctioning model presents strong opportunities for both buyers and vendors. Being an unreserved auction, buyers can save up to 30 - 50 percent when compared to buying the same used forklift from a traditional retailer.
"We expect that our unique offering will attract more and more interest from the market,” says Cameron.
Buyers can inspect and test the forklifts at inspection sites in Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland and New South Wales during the sale period.
The majority of products will be Nissan; however other brands on offer include Toyota, Crown, Hyster, Linde, Komatsu, and Clark.
The range of products in the sale includes: 1.5 — 12 Tonne IC Units Double Deep Reach Trucks Turret Trucks Electric Pallet Movers Wheel Battery Electric Units Orderpickers/ Stockpickers Walkie Reach Stacker Ride On Battery Electrics Sweepers Plus many forklift attachments, compressors, hand pallet trucks and other assorted items.
"Sales using online auction are ideal for any businesses that have a manufacturing/warehousing function, particularly small medium enterprises that can’t justify spending a large sum of money on brand new forklifts or going through the traditional retail route," Cameron adds.
