Infor, one of the largest providers of business software in the world, today announced Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics has signed a deal to support business growth and increase operational efficiency across Australia and New Zealand.
Napoleon Perdis, Australia’s leading makeup artist and international cosmetics company, will start implementing Infor ERP System21 and Demand Planning for demand and distribution planning later this month.
The system will overcome operational issues caused by rapid and continuous growth which has led to an expansion of operations and increased customer demand in ANZ.
The expansion exacerbated some major process and stock management issues for Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics. These included an imbalance of inventory due to multiple distribution centres stocking the same items and an inability to predict customer demand — both leading to high inventory levels and low turn ratios.
The Infor system will also streamline the supply chain and order management functions.
Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics has a complex, geographically dispersed supply chain, spanning United States, China, Australia and New Zealand.
The company puts a high focus on product quality but was suffering from demand and supply issues stemming from a lack of visibility into stock levels and an inability to effectively track inventory.
Infor’s reporting capabilities will help Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics make more informed decisions on purchasing.
Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics also suffered from administrative inefficiencies where orders were being taken over the web and then re-keyed into the financial system creating errors and a lag time in order processing.
Emanuel Perdis, Managing Director of Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics Australia, says the company has real growth ambitions and needs an information system that will grow and keep pace with it.
"The integrated process management and workflow capabilities will allow us to more accurately plan our business processes, whilst streamlining and reducing administration,” Perdis says.
“We looked at what was on the market and assessed our options. Infor was the only solution that matched our business needs; an integrated system, modular, easy to deploy, with strong ongoing support.”
According to James Brackenig, Vice President & Managing Director APAC, Infor, Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics is focused on effectively managing and controling purchasing and suppliers overseas as with any global brand.
"Napoleon Perdis Cosmetics is a huge brand and another example of how Infor’s approach has been championed by the mid market," Brackenig says.
"Companies don’t want ‘big ticket’ purchases that cost the earth and take years to implement. They want a solution they can implement now with immediate ROI.”
