DHL Supply Chain has signed a three-year contract with BMW to increase dealership deliveries in Scotland and Northern England.

Under the new contract, BMW dealerships in Scotland and Northern England will receive regular deliveries up to three times a day, in addition to their night-time service.

DHL will provide services such as receipt, picking and dispatching of automotive components and fast moving spare parts from its shared-user Bellshill warehouse in Scotland.

The company said it will also be assisting BMW in managing the Dealer Metro Distribution Centres concept in other countries, including Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, and the United States.

“DHL’s proven strengths in the automotive sector and ability to implement flexible, efficient solutions continue to be attributes, which our customers value us for,” said Paul Dyer, managing director of DHL Supply Chain Automotive.

“We’re delighted to have been chosen as a partner to BMW and we look forward to helping enhance its customer service strategy.”
