The National Retail Forum will be held between in August 2009 at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, running alongside Australia's largest retail exhibition, Retail Expo.
Supporting the theme of 'Defying the Downturn', the National Retail Forum will deliver a comprehensive program featuring keynote presentations, case studies and panel discussions focusing on critical business management issues, marketing and communication, people management and corporate culture, planning and design, and technology.
Together, the Expo and Forum attracts over 6,000 serious retailers across all sectors of the industry, working closely with the Australian Retailer’s Association, Australian Centre for Retail Studies, Melbourne City Council, Energise Enterprise (Small Business Victoria) and a number of industry specialists to develop the event.
One of the international key note speakers at the Forum will be Ruby Anik, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing for J C Penney Company, Inc, one of America’s largest department stores, online and catalog retailers.
Ruby’s insights into the brand marketing and CRM strategy, clearly articulating the retailer’s offering of style and quality at smart price across multi-channel offerings, will be enlightening for all retailers in attendance.
The National Retail Forum is a unique opportunity for retailers to continue to look to the future, share experiences and embrace opportunities to evolve and adapt to a changing market.

“The 2009 Forum will feature presentations and case studies from over 30 industry specialists, and our delegates will leave the event with new ideas, contacts and strategies that will help position their business for the future.”
